1 Avocado, peeled and pitted
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
1/8 cup fresh cilantro leaves
1 small garlic clove
Juice of 1 lemon
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar

1/2 cup of olive oil
Salt and pepper

This is a nice change for both salads or to accompany grilled fish or chicken. Make it easily in your blender, but no more than 20 minutes prior to serving, otherwise it may discolor.

Add the first six ingredients to your blender or food processor and process until combined. With your machine running slowly or pulsing in the case of the blender, add the oil in a slow stream through the feed tube or lid opening. Mix until smooth, add the salt and pepper to taste. Best served immediately.

Note:  This is another recipe to "make your own"!  If you prefer basil, avoid the cilantro 
altogether, or if you want to use all cilantro, that is fine, too. Want to spice it up for 
a Taco salad? Use all cilantro and a dash of hot picante and a scallion in place of the garlic clove.

This recipe may be doubled. Endless possibilities!
